Artists Council
Artwork Policies

Policy Regarding Imagery that Depicts Sexual Conduct

Visual representations, such as drawings, cartoons, paintings, and sculptures that appear to depict minors (under the age of 18) engaged in sexual activity will not be accepted by the Artists Council. If you are under the age of 18, you are not permitted to submit nude art of yourself. For artists' own protection it is highly recommended that you have any nude model sign a release form giving you the explicit permission to publish, share, distribute and to submit the work(s) to the Artists Council.

Policy Regarding Hate Speech

The Artists Council has an obligation to create a safe, inclusive learning environment for all members of the community. Courts in the United States have found that expression generally cannot be punished based on its content or viewpoint. Thus, although hate speech, alone, receives constitutional protection, any expression that constitutes a true threat, incitement to imminent lawless action, discriminatory harassment or defamation will not be accepted by the Artists Council.
