Classes and Workshops

The Artists Council maintains a robust schedule of classes and workshops throughout our season (September through June).  We offer learning opportunities for beginner, intermediate, and advanced artists, and we often invite noted artist instructors from around the country to share their experience and techniques.

Class Schedules

Our classes are all listed in our public calendar, which you can find in our main menu at the top of each page.  Along with classes and workshops, our public calendar also includes events such as art demonstrations, exhibitions, and special events.

If you would like to view classes and workshops only, feel free to use the buttons below to view only classes and workshops.  Once you are viewing the calendar, you can use the search bar to look for a specific artist, medium, or technique.

  • Repeating classes are single-subject opportunities to gain, brush up, or enhance a particular art area, skill, or medium.  Classes last 2 or 3 hours and include topics such as life drawing, watercolor, oil-acrylic, essential drawing skills, sumi-e brush painting, and abstract art. They will run weekly or in a series of 4-6 week runs. Tickets for each class date can be purchased individually, making it easy to drop in whenever your schedule allows.

  • Workshops can be single or multiple days of instruction, which cover a particular topic.  Workshops are deeper dives into subject matter, aspects of art-making, and new techniques or skills. Tickets for multiple-day workshops are a single price, covering each day of the workshop.

  • Art Demonstrations are free events, held on Fridays during our season.  Each week, one of our member artists provides an in-depth look at their techniques and style.  Click the yellow button above for the schedule of instructors and the topics they cover.  Tickets are not necessary - feel free to stop in anytime!

Tickets for our classes and workshops are available on Eventbrite on a first-come, first-served basis.  Classes can fill quickly, so reserve your place early!  To purchase tickets directly from our calendar, go to the calendar, then click the TICKETS button to reserve your seat in the class or workshop that will help you advance your skills and increase your talent.
