Leslie Pierce
Isotta Poggi


Leslie Pierce is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in San Diego, California. She serves on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild,
where she is also Co-Chair of the Exhibitions Committee.
Previously, Leslie taught painting at the Austin Museum of Art and founded a popular Life Drawing and Painting group for the Austin Visual Arts Association. She is currently engaged in several collaborative projects and is leading the upcoming group exhibition "The Art of Now," scheduled for June 2026 in San Diego. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and an
Associate of Applied Science in Video Game Art from Austin Community College.
Isotta Poggi has served as a curator at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles since 2010. Her research focuses on the cultural impact of photography as a multifaceted narrative tool in albums, portfolios, artists' books and the media. She has contributed to numerous exhibitions and publications exploring photography-based artistic practices and in art historical context. Her recent article on the "Militant Photography of Vie Nuove/Giorni" (from Soviet propaganda to the years of lead in Italy) was published in Print Matters: Media and Modernity in Illustrated Magazines (Maria Antonella Pelizzari and Andres Zervigon, eds., 2025). Isotta studied at the University of Ca' Foscari in Venice, Italy, and at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
