Artists Council 2022 “Off the Wall” Holiday Show & Sale
Artists Center at the Galen

The Artists Council offers our members a chance to participate in a Holiday sales
event from December 1 through to December 23, 2022. We anticipate a large and
eager crowd of buyers – as “Off the Wall” is timed to coincide with the Holiday
Squares Fundraiser (which we hope you are submitting to!) and the launch of the
Artists Council Store Pop-Up.
If you participated in the Prime Time Pop-Up in December 2021, which had to
close early due to COVID:
· Your “Off the Wall” entry fee will be reduced from $35 to zero. Enter the
show via the submission link below, and the reduction will be automatically
applied at checkout.

Note: This fee reduction is good only for the 2022 “Off the Wall” show and
sale; it will not apply to any future shows.
· Be sure to submit early, as only the first 80 entries will be accepted!

1 artwork per applicant will be accepted into the show.
Entry fee for this in-person exhibit (for entries without a coupon) is $35
Pay with a major credit card via the online application form accessible from
the link above.
The show is non-juried, but only the first 80 artworks will be accepted.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, November 1, at midnight.
NOTE: The submission process will close prior to November 1 if we reach
the maximum number of 80 entries, so enter as soon as you can!
Drop Off: Tuesday, November 29, 9 am to 11 am, at the Artists Center at
the Galen.
Show Opening: Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 10 am (regular gallery
hours; no opening reception).
Show Closing: Friday, December 23, 2022, 4 pm.
Pick Up of Unsold Works: Friday December 23, 2022, 2 pm to 4 pm (please
be on time, because the building closes at 4 pm).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
You must be a member of the Artists Council to enter. If you wish to join or

Artwork must:
Be no larger than 60 in high by 48 in wide (framed).
Minimum size 18 in x 18 in (framed).
Be ready for hanging or installation, professionally presented, and meet the
following additional requirements.
Other Requirements:
All works on paper must be protected by glass or Plexiglass.
Unframed canvas must be gallery wrapped.
Works on canvas or other materials must be finished on the edges.
Two-dimensional artwork must be wired for hanging. No saw-tooth hangers
or ceiling mounts will be accepted.
Three-dimensional artwork cannot exceed 150 pounds or 72” high by 48”
wide by 48” deep and must be delivered ready for display.
Works that do not meet these size requirements may be rejected on intake.
Artwork is limited to 2- and 3-dimensional work. No video work can be
accepted at this time.

No refund of fees will be made after submission.
NO CHANGES TO ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED AFTER SUBMISSION. (Please
proof your entry details carefully!).
Delivery:
Artwork must be delivered to the Artists Center at the Galen in Palm Desert
by the artist or his/her agent.
Artwork shipped to the Artists Center will not be accepted.
The Artists Council cannot provide special handling for artwork.
Pricing, Sales, and Pick Up:
Artwork must be available for sale.
Sale price must be between $300 and $5,000 Please note: no change to the
sale price will be made after submission.
The artwork’s price MUST be the same as shown on your website or
otherwise promoted.
Proceeds from sale (excluding sales tax) will be split 50-50 between the
artist and the Artists Council (to support programs and operations).
Buyers can pick up the artwork on day of purchase. Sales tax will be added
to the sale price and paid by the buyer.
The artist or his/her agent is responsible for picking up unsold works.
LEGAL AGREEMENT
By submitting to the Artists Council “Off the Wall” Show and Sale, the artist
acknowledges and agrees that he/she:
Has read and agrees to all conditions of entry.
Releases rights for use of images of his/her artwork in any Artists Council
promotional and marketing materials.
Is responsible for insurance for his/her artwork. Neither the Artists Council
and its officers, directors, staff, or volunteers; nor anyone connected with
the “Off the Wall” Show and Sale will be responsible for loss or damage to
artwork, however caused. All exhibiting artists will be required to sign a
liability waiver at the time of artwork drop-off.
The Artists Council reserves the right to refuse any artwork that is not of
acceptable quality, does not match the submitted entry image, or does not
meet framing or finishing criteria, or any other requirements stated above.
