JUROR BIOGRAPHIES - "LIGHT" Exhibition & Sale
GLORIA ORTEGA
Gloria Ortega (she/her) is an art historian and curator based in Los Angeles, California. She
has recently curated "Del Alma: Latina Portraits from the Vincent Price Art Museum Permanent Collection," an exhibition showcasing an intergenerational roster of Chicana and Latina artists from Los Angeles, which was on view in the Founders Room at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Gloria's practice is driven by cultural histories
and uplifting artists of color in contemporary art. She has previously held curatorial and research positions at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, in Washington, D.C.
She holds an Associate's degree in Art History from East Los Angeles College, and a B.A. in
Art History from California State University, Los Angeles.


ANNE GIANCOLA
Anne Giancola is the Visual Arts and Education Manager for Livermore Valley Arts, where she curates multi-disciplinary exhibitions, leads art education initiatives, and produces community-wide cultural events including the acclaimed ArtWalk Livermore. Since 2014, she has developed inclusive programs that foster community engagement and cultural enrichment, managing exhibitions, student art shows, and large-scale festivals that reach thousands annually.
Previously, she co-founded and served as Studio Director of Rollstone Studios, a non-profit arts hub that played a central role in revitalizing the former mill town of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. A working artist for more than 25 years, Anne operates a successful mural painting business and continues to champion accessible, high-impact art experiences.
She holds a B.A. in History from UC Santa Barbara and earned her M.S. in Applied Communications with distinction from Fitchburg State University.
