Steven Biller

Steven Biller is the former longtime editor-in-chief of Palm Springs Life, a National City & Regional Magazine Award winner for General Excellence, and a writer and lecturer specializing in early to contemporary California art. He serves on the Palm Springs Art Museum Collections and Exhibitions Committee and as an adviser to several arts organizations in the Coachella Valley.

 

He lives in Palm Springs and collects early desert landscape paintings.

Crystal Curtis

Crystal Curtis is an arts professional who is passionate about helping people make informed
decisions. She studied Art History at Scripps College in California. After attending New York
University for graduate studies, she became a college professor of Art History, teaching first at New
York University, then another six years at Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in NYC.


Crystal moved from New York City to Palm Desert in 2017, where she is now the Director of Jones
& Terwilliger Galleries on El Paseo. One of the highlights of her tenure was cultivating their
representation of renown desert painter Terry Masters. Crystal is an avid nature-lover, and you can
find her on regular hikes and star-gazing treks throughout the Coachella Valley and High Desert.

 

George Stern

George Stern is the owner of George Stern Fine Arts in Palm Desert, California.  With over fifty years of experience in the art business, Mr. Stern is a specialist in 19th and 20th century American Art with an emphasis in California Impressionism and American Scene painting. He has published four books on the subject titled, The Art and Life of Conrad Buff, Arthur Dominique Rozaire: Poet with a Brush, Point of View: the Paintings of Robert Frame, and The Art and Life of Edwin Roscoe Shrader. 

 

Mr. Stern is the founding president of the Fine Art Dealers Association (FADA), a national association of galleries dealing in the fine arts.  He was formerly on the boards of the California Heritage Museum, Jonathan Art Foundation and the Arts and Humanities Board of Advisors for Claremont Graduate University.

 

He currently serves on the boards of FADA, the Art Dealers Association of California, and the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from UCLA in 1973 and a Juris Doctor Degree from the Whittier College School of Law in 1977.  Mr. Stern is also a member of the California State Bar.

Daniel Foster

Daniel Foster is an award-winning arts and community leader for the past 35 years in the San
Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino county regions.  Foster is the past Executive Director of two large regional art museums (Oceanside Museum of Art and Riverside Art Museum), and past President/CEO of the Inland Empire Community Foundation (largest public community foundation/nonprofit leader in Riverside/San Bernardino Counties).   Additionally, during his career, Foster has founded/co-founded seven nonprofit/community-based orgs. such as the North County Arts Network (NCAN, nonprofit arts agency for north county San Diego arts sector), Arts Connection (official State of California/San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors arts council agency), Desert Plein Air Association, Inland Empire Funder’s Alliance, and Shumway Ranch.Org. 

 

Foster has nine full-time years of university education at USC-Marshall School of Business (BS); UC San Diego-Revelle College (Art & Philosophy); San Francisco Art Institute (MFA-double degree with honors in New Genres and Sculpture).  Foster lives in Pinyon Crest located in the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mtns. National Monument above Palm Desert.
