The Artists Council is on a mission to provide programs that connect us in small ways every day. One program offers art classes for people living with Alzheimer's disease. The classes are for both patient and caregiver, who then create art together. The classes are a way for them to reconnect with no pressures, no concerns, and no challenges beyond simply creating art. The classes are offered twice a month on the first and second Tuesdays at the Artists Center in Palm Desert. Importantly, the art classes help build community for people who have become increasingly isolated due to Alzheimer’s.
