We are asking those in a bit more comfortable position financially for donations, of any size, to help our fellow artists in need. Donations will go to a dedicated Membership Grant fund. The Artists Council is happy to announce our new Membership Grant program. Our goal is to help Artists Council members who have been hit with unexpected circumstances that makes it difficult, if not impossible, to pay the standard $75 annual membership fee for one year. The grant also includes the entry fee for one exhibit.
We invite applications from artists whose membership has recently lapsed or who fear they will be unable to renew their membership. This is not intended to help people who are otherwise comfortable but who would rather not pay their membership dues. We are requiring our grantees to become an Artists Council volunteer, to the extent they can. The Artists Council is almost entirely powered by volunteers with many areas that need assistance.
