ROBERTA PANZANELLI
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Roberta Panzanelli is a Renaissance art historian who received an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. She has published on a variety of subjects ranging from Arabic lettering in early Renaissance painting to the pilgrimage experience at the Sacro Monte at Varallo. She worked at the Getty Research Institute for over a decade, curating three exhibitions and publishing papers and books on Renaissance perspective manuals, polychrome sculpture, and ancient theater. She resides in Los Angeles and teaches at Otis College of Art and Design and Mount Saint Mary’s University.
RAúL ACERO
Raúl Acero was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and raised in New York City. He has an M.F.A in Ceramics & Sculpture from Ohio University and a B.A. in Art from S.U.N.Y Fredonia. He is presently Emeritus Professor of Art at the University of Redlands in Southern California.
Raúl’s work appears in the permanent collections of The Studio Museum in Harlem NYC; The Asheville Art Museum, Asheville, North Carolina; The President's Collection, California Polytechnic Institute, Pomona, California; Universidad de Caldas, Colombia S.A.; Bernice Steinbaum Collection, Instituto de Cultura, San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Warren Wilson College, North Carolina.
